Album Notes
Everett and Emily Elam perform Ozark and Appalachian music around Arkansas, and accompany tunes with historical anecdotes. Both Emily and Everett hold state championship titles and above all, love to share and teach music. This first CD from the Bow Tanglers features both traditional and original tunes with an old-time feel.

Everett Elam: Fiddle
Emily Elam: Fiddle and Banjo
Jordan Anderson: Guitar
Juliana Flinn: Piano, Track 13

Emily is a native of Mountain View, Arkansas who started playing fiddle at the age of nine and picked up the banjo a few years later. She is the fiddler for The Lazy Goat String Band, an old-time band based out of Mountain View. Emily plays a variety of old-time and Celtic styles with Everett in a duo known as the Bow Tanglers. When she is not studying or playing music, she enjoys knitting, photography, and the outdoors.

Everett is from Benton, Arkansas and started playing violin when he was ten. After meeting Emily in the fall of 2014, he began playing old-time fiddle and won the Arkansas State Old Time Fiddle Championship in 2016. Everett recently produced an audio documentary detailing his experience in Spain as a student with a disability. When he isn’t teaching Braille or playing fiddle, Everett enjoys coffee, Spanish, and trail running.
