Album Notes
The Choir of the Church of Our Saviour is a professional ensemble that sings every Sunday at the 11:00 a.m. Mass at the Church of Our Saviour and for liturgies at Christmas, the Easter Triduum, and other feasts during the year. The choir’s repertoire includes a wide range of music from plainchant and polyphony to recently composed works. The members of the choir are active musicians that perform regularly both in ensembles and as soloists in New York and beyond.To learn more about the choir, visit www.oursaviournyc.org/music.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Paul Murray is Director of Music and Organist for the Parish of Our Saviour, St. Stephen–Our Lady of the Scapular, and the Chapel of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, in the Murray Hill and Kips Bay neighborhoods of New York City. Prior to this appointment, he served for over a decade as Director of Music and Organist at the Church of the Holy Family, the Roman Catholic parish serving the United Nations Community, in New York City. An alumnus of the Boston Archdiocesan Choir School, Westminster Choir College, and the Manhattan School of Music, Mr. Murray is active as a teacher and performer, having performed throughout the United States. His teachers include Leo Abbott, Ken Cowan, John Dunn, Stefan Engels, and McNeil Robinson. Mr. Murray received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Boston Archdiocesan Choir School in 2007 and in 2009, he was invested as a Knight in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Knight Commander.
