ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Company Stores are a modern Appalachian rock band from Charleston, WV. Their sophomore full length album, Little Lights, was recorded at Echo Mountain Studio in Asheville, with Grammy-winning record producer Julian Dreyer. Their sound incorporates many types of modern music including modern rock, Appalachian folk, jazz, and other styles of music, all tied together by Casey Litz' powerful and soulful voice. Their name comes from the 19th and early 20th centuries, when coal miners would be paid in "scrip" or "coal money", which was only good at stores owned by the coal company...The Company Stores.
