Album Notes
"David Thompson has always been one of my favorite songwriters in the "you ought to know who this cat is but probably don't" category... Because he writes beautiful, accessible melodies with lyrics that touch the sky. Because his lyrics fit the melodies. Because he's really good."
- TIm Stafford, grammy award winning guitarist, singer and songwriter for legendary bluegrass band Blue Highway.

After I heard the first song I thought, jeez, I wish I was in a convertible with the top down riding off to nowhere while listening to these tunes. Listening to them felt like all the best parts of summer - cool nights, sunny days, no worries and no particular place to go - just a drive somewhere that's long enough to listen to these tracks over and over.
- Mollie O'Brien, grammy award winning vocalist extraordinaire

Creekwalkers - Slow Motion Sky
Ever a fan of David Thompson’s past musical endeavors (Growling Old Men, Kane’s River, Fishing Music), this may be my favorite expression of his talents yet. Easy listening in the best way, with Julie Elkins’ haunting vocals on several of the tunes, Thompson’s lyrics and melodies have a simple accessibility that defies their sophistication. There is a nod to the bluegrass tradition here, but this is definitely not bluegrass music. It’s more of a folky-americana melting pot, and the variety of styles is part of what makes it such a fun listen - you never know what’s going to come next, but you can be sure it will be good!
