ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Once again, welcome to Dan's Hall, the beautiful West Coast setting that has provided the nourishment for our creativity. When we started playing here with Dan, over a decade ago, he had already written over a hundred tunes. Soon all of us were inspired to produce melodies that we play for English Country Dance and Contra and share with our many music and dance friends.

We like to gather in Dan's old farmhouse kitchen for tea and goodies before we play together. And we're convinced that this lovely habit has produced some particularly juicy tunes for you to enjoy! Others seem to think so too:-

It's very impressive - beautiful and idiomatic compositions, wide variety of sounds, great playing, and all very danceable! Please extend my thanks and appreciation to everyone in the band, and the composers! (Gene Murrow, New York)

It's very good! I particularly like 'Tendresse', especially when the voices come in, and 'For Musical Friends'. Congratulations to you all. (Colin Hume, UK)
