Album Notes
"I cannot bring myself to write a conventional off-the-cuff album review for this piece of art, because it is neither ... Just like the music in this cd .... I must be somewhat oblique and lighthearted in my approach to writing of it.... This piece of music I see as a concept album, will thusly be described as my brain processes it. Yes, it's THAT deep! So, I see this as a magical stream of consciousness "gone right." This piece of work as a whole has a certain musical depth to it without trying and is appreciated more and more with multiple listens. Is it "far out"?... Yes, like otherworldly... literally. Complete with its own language, which I think is called "Shmog-opsh" (but that may be debated by the Author)." - Glen Bringslid

"E.J. Gold, Bob Bachtold, and I recorded a ton of music live at the SmogOps Canteen, with Oz Fritz at the recording desk. This is just a slice. Sure, we overdubbed a few things and edited the tapes, but what's truly 'live' is that what you're hearing is being written as it's being recorded. All of this music is captured at the moment of its creation. We disengaged our rational brains and allowed everything to flow through. ... In any case, the songs I personally selected for this compilation are ones that got their "hooks" into me and wouldn't let go." - Jimmi Accardi

This really is music from another world - recorded in another dimension a long long time ago. Take a trip with me, EJ Gold, and Bob Bachtold for some spontaneous combustion. - Jimmi Accardi
