ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Born in a basement somewhere in Paris, the Groovers kick the fuzz into a groove that's all their own. With a nod to the Velvets, maybe the Jesus and Mary Chain, the guys lay down a beat that has the kids on the Continent stomping. Put it straight - if you dig modern garage acts like the Strokes, the Hives and others of the current breed, you'll LOVE the Groovers! And you'll go nuts for the lead track, "Okay Boys," co-written by Ben Vaughn!

Undergroove
A cunning mix of tuneful indie pop, Suicide-type drone organ, garage guitars (the sleeve note checks The Scientists), and trad sixties rock 'n' roll.
