The Gypsy Ramblers are a five-piece band who play a blend of gypsy, jazz, 'dawg', and blues music. They are a great cross-over band for anyone that enjoys bluegrass, jazz, and other popular forms of American music. The group features Matt Robinson on mandolin, Lavinia Reid on violin, Jeff Kauffman on guitar, Butch Sanders on percussion, and Bill Unger on bass. Influences include David Grisman, Joe Craven, Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli, Irvin Berlin, and Louis Armstrong, to name a few, and the sound is reminiscent of these artists. This album features eight tracks recorded live at the Opera House in Shepherdstown, WV, and really captures the essence of the band's live sound.
