Slowly Progressing

by The Havok On Polaris

Catchy and melodic pop punk in the vain of nineties Fat Wreck Chords bands like Lagwagon and NOFX. Fast rhythms over faster drum work and impressive vocal harmonies.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I first heard the The Havok on Polaris when my band played some shows with them back when they were called Madcap... or AKA Madcap... or Also Known As... well, I can't remember. But they eventually settled on The Havok on Polaris. What I do remember is how awesome it was, to not only hear these songs performed live in all their energy, but to hear this album for the first time. This was when Ownlife Records was in its conception and you bet your ass we wish we had released Slowly Progressing. The closest we could come to this was to help distribute the album and, recently, have it remastered for digital distribution. If you are a fan of NOFX, Lagwagon, or Millencolin, then you will no doubt enjoy what this fun group of gentlemen has to offer. We are coming up on 10 years since these songs were first being played live and they still hold up, even in a world where the public ear is constantly looking for new takes on music.
