ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Local music group, The HUSHpuppies, have quickly developed a name for themselves among clubs and other musicians in the Wilmington area. Their hook driven acoustic rock style (which is reminiscent of such groups like Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson and Incubus) has produced a strong following among music lovers in the Port City. In just 6 months, The HUSHpuppies have become one of the fastest growing bands in the Wilmington area.

In 2000 Ben Garrison (lead singer/guitarist) left his hometown of Morganton, NC for UNC-Charlotte. Jon Wagner, from China Grove NC, moved to Charlotte in 2001. They were brought together by a mutual friend and in 2002 began their musical journey together. In 2004 they were introduced to Grant Emerson. Grant moved to Wilmington NC from Raleigh NC to begin school at UNCW. He was a Bass major and a perfect fit for the group.

The Hushpuppies signed over to the Audioscribe Records, Inc. label several months ago. This album is their first release on the Indie Label.
