Album Notes
The Jeremy Lyons Quartet is a contemporary jazz group playing original compositions alongside some modern standards by the likes of Pat Metheny and Steve Swallow, with the emphasis on obtaining a cohesive and distinctive group sound, high on melody and improvisation.
Jeremy Lyons took the first BA in Jazz Studies course at Leeds College of Music in 1993, before moving down to Middlesex University in north London to complete his studies, where his tutor was Perfect Houseplants saxophonist, Mark Lockheart. While there, he formed his own group featuring German pianist Hans Koller, playing and writing material for the band which allowed him to develop his own personal sound and compositional style.

"This impressive debut, elegant and heartfelt, holds the promise of greater things to come. Lyons evidently possesses the tools to create something truly edifying and with Vestige he lays down the foundations to that end."

Ian Patterson, All about jazz, 26th July 2014

"Jeremy Lyons is a true talent and the band were fine tuned. Playing tunes from their new CD so first time hearing the material, yet you engage with it"
