Album Notes
We play a mix between some pretty cool Jazz, along with material that is more accessible:  a whole bunch of classic Americana, classic rock, R and B etc.  We've been together for One year now, and have played at the Arts Block, Underdogs, Raven Hollow winery, The Iron Horse, Springfield Library, Bing Arts Center, etc.  We will releases our first CD in 2019.

David Belmont

A most enjoyable ride
I've been listening to Joe Belmont's music for quite some time. He was an eclectic player in his youth and has continued to explore multiple directions at once, with considerable integrity. For the sake of transparency, let me say that I'm his brother. We started playing guitar at about the same time in the late 1960s. Joe wrote most of the material for Charley Quasar, our neighborhood band ("Queens' Grateful Dead"), in the early 70s. I've been a fan ever since.

This is his best CD yet. The ensemble sound is tight, Top players (long time bass mate Rudi Weeks & drum-meister Eleizer Martinez, along with some distinguished guests...all leading lights on the western Massachusetts music scene) having a funky good time taking us on fun musical journey.

It starts with an inspired version Joe's tour de force, Mujeres de la Puna, which he penned for Viva Quetzal. (Bold move to make that the first track!) Then we mellow out some with Wanda Houston fronting the band for the Otis Redding classic The Dock of the Bay. Then we roll thru some American songbook, classic jazz standards, some bluesy and lyrical originals, even some Beatles.

If you like any of these vibes, these tunes are a must for your playlist.
