Album Notes
Vernonia, OR logger, grandfather, and poet John Brown left a history of his early life in poem. Kris Stuart took 11 of those poems and wrote them as songs. These songs are played by a stringband, live just like the Saturday Night Logger Dances that John Brown writes about. Oregon logging history lesson disguised as traditional american music.

Album was recorded live on a sunny summer Sunday morning by
Kris Stuart - vocals and acoustic guitar
Nick Foltz - vocals and harmonica
Eric Kotiia - drums
Marilee Hord - fiddle
Kevin Cowan - bass
Birger Olsen - dobro, mandolin
