Album Notes
From the band that brought you "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' to Glide" here's another awesome segue entitled "Circle of Friends/Man That I Am". Mixed in Nashville by Bob Ezrin and it sounds incredible.

The Kings have returned...and they Rock!
The Kings are a Canadian rock band, maybe best known for their huge smash hit in 1980, "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' To Glide",, which was either a Rock, Pop, or Nu Wave Song , or all three at once, depending on the listeners discretion. That song (and album it came from, "The Kings are Here!" ), was produced by the world famous Bob Ezrin (Kiss, Pink Floyd, etc...). The band has released other albums since then, however this single (really a cool throw back to TBGO/STG, in that it's really two songs that segue into each other creating a "mini suite"), is the first produced again with Bob Ezrin since those heady days of the early 1980's. The single is a what one expect from such a match up of band and producer... a super good rock pop song with cool lyrics and superior production values. Hopefully this collaboration is a sign of more good things to come for The Kings. Long time fans know that "Mr. Zero" and David Diamond (The two main members and primary songwriters since the founding of the group) can write really good music that has catchy hooks, humorous and insightful lyrics, and just great instrument playing. The Kings are back, and obviously ready to Rock,...Long Live The Kings!

Could this be deja vu all over again?
Lightning can strike twice. Looks as though The Kings have gone back to the rock and roll recipe that made them famous. Their new new song, "Circle of Friends/Man that I Am" is simply outstanding! I picked it up the day it launched and very happy I did. If "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' to Glide" were paired with the new release on a vinyl 45, I would have a hard time picking the "B" song. Great addition to my library. Can't wait for the video to come out. Well done!
