ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Klipptones Quartet performs the work of Charlie Parker, Jerome Kern, Bart Howard, Horace Silver and more in this compilation of timeless and wide-ranging jazz classics. The quartet features Robert Brumbeloe (guitar), Kasey Knudsen (tenor sax), Eric Vogler (upright bass) and Claudio Rochat-Felix (drums). Recorded and engineered by Kelly Park.

The Klipptones are a San Francisco Bay Area music mainstay. Founded by band leader Josh Klipp in 2007, they have transformed popular notions of jazz through their interpretations of everything from 20's jazz, Sinatra classics, 50's rock & roll and even the 80's, 90's and beyond. The Klipptones have performed all over the Northern California, and have even opened for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and headlined their first college show in 2015. They are a sort of post-modern jukebox, and boast some of the top musicians in Northern California. On a stifling hot California day, four of these talents crowded into a small studio in Concord, California, and made the magic on this instrumental-only musical masterpiece.
