ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
'Self-Help Wannabe' is the first single to be taken from The Kubricks' debut EP 'Wasters & Wannabes'.

‘‘Boasting the best brass section I’ve heard since Rocket From The Crypt and laced with their wry eyed sly view of modern urban life, The Kubricks deliver an intoxicating and electrifying set of songs about the brash disaffection and 'Rash Behaviour' of youth.” (Surroundedby.co.uk)

Conceived in London’s East End under the watchful eye of producer Andrew Tulloch (Madness, Robbie Williams, The Charlatans) at The Blue Studio, 'Wasters & Wannabes' features five stonking Ska- infused tracks.

Having developed a live set that is more ‘’infectiously bouncy than a hyperactive kangaroo with smallpox’’, The 7-man Kubricks began putting on their own chaotic club nights at the famous Dublin Castle, Camden, before catching the attention of popular UK festivals such as Wickerman, Brownstock, One Love and The London International Ska Festival.

With influences spanning the greats of British Ska mixed in with Jazz, Rock, Northern Soul & Pop, 'Wasters & Wannabes' is an absolute must for fans of Ska, Rock & Pop music.
