Album Notes
Maggie Shar (banjo), Laura Murawski (fiddle), and Brian Slattery (fiddle) met on the Appalachian fiddle festival circuit in 2015 and discovered that musically, they clicked almost immediately. They wanted the same things: relentless groove, shimmering rhythms, and just enough improvisation to keep things moving and changing. The sound really came together when they played with Molly Merrett (guitar) and Charlie Shaw (bass), old musical compatriots of Maggie's and Brian's. People who heard them at festivals said they should record an album. So they did.
