Album Notes
"Nancy Atlas is a Rockstar' - Chad Smith, Red Hot Chili Peppers
"She's not afraid to scratch below the surface as a songwriter" - Lucinda Williams
"The Chick Has Pipes for real." - Clarence Clemons
"She Stands toe to toe with anyone out there." - Lyle Greenfeild, Bang Music.
"Triple Threat. Killer voice, twisted lyrics and performs like the bar is on fire every time. No other woman has graced our stage more. She is the Queen of the Talkhouse." -Peter Honerkamp, owner of the famed Stephen Talkhouse Bar.

Nancy Atlas and her band, The Nancy Atlas Project, have held court on the East End live music scene for quite some time now. She is knows for electric live shows and having a band that puts it all on the table night after night. With Johnny Blood on searing lead guitar, Brett King laying down rock solid Bass grooves, Richard Rosch on Drums and background Vocals and Neil Surreal rounding it all out on Harmonica, Keys and Accordion. This seventh album release was produced by Atlas and Blood and Johnny went on to mix, mastered and mothered the entire project from his studio, The House of Ill Repute in Springs, New York.
Tracks range from classic Americana (I'll Come Running, Cut and Run) to full on Rock (Shotgun Jesus, King City). An additional track, The Tale of Johnny Load, has Red Hot Chili Pepper drummer Chad Smith sitting in and the song is heavily connected and credited in the new Miramax release, A Speck In the Sea. Atlas also delivers a snakey, original take on the Parton classic, Jolene. Her smokey, deep vocals lay gently above the bands most requested track.
The list of people that the Nancy Atlas Project have opened for or followed is endless and her street cred is legit. The bands style wavers over an alt-Country to full on Rock And Roll. Having spent time in New Orleans she also always has a sprinkle of Zydeco in there to boot. Sit back, relax and enjoy a 16 track album that took six years in the making. You will not be disappointed.
