Album Notes
We all felt "Episodes" to be an apt title for The Trio's second C.D. Not only does it represent the next episode in our musical development but each tune represents a particular episode in the musical language we draw upon, where we constantly strive to cross and blur the boundaries between the classical South American repertoire and unusual Blue Note-era jazz piece; where we mix the traditional and the new, the delicate with the robust, the improvised with the arranged. All this is made possible by our focus on interplay. Virtuoso performance is only a means to an end, a way of achieving our common goal - to make great music that excites and delights without ever restricting itself with genres and labels. Enjoy!
