Album Notes
'Lost in the Hug' is a debut album from the Real Si-B. Smelted out from the pit of one man’s love despair & necessity. The 12 track album is clearly steeped in the rich forms and traditions of Country, Folk & Blues music. Its irreverent flag however, seems to wave gently mockingly on the breeze of the familiar, with a particularly British character & sensibility, primitive in essence, yet compellingly clever in it's style content & delivery.

Influenced by legends of early American Country Folk & Blues but touched with a dose of distinctly British quirk, reminiscent of such luminaries as Harry Nilsson & George Harrison. The Real Si-B takes an inventive approach to the concept of a one man band. Combining the traditional with the strange & sometimes surprising. Arresting melodies, acrobatic vocals & curious beautiful arrangements, often tinged with lyrics that display a wry sense of humour, accompany thumping bass snare and tambourine rhythms. The use of dual vocal microphones and an improbable performance skillset allow the maverick singer songwriter to create a swamp-like ethereal soundscape that both soars playfully towards the uplifting, and at times rips into the dark and serene.
