ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Rembetika Hipsters are a Greek music ensemble based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 2013 we met and began collaborating with Racheal Cogan, a respected recorder player and singer who had previously worked with the Cretan music legend Ross Daly and with Cirque Du Soleil. "Tzivaeri" (My Precious) is a popular song originating from the Dodecanese, dealing with the hardships of Greek immigrants abroad and the family members left behind. "Sergiani.."
