ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Therese is a fiddle player, singer, teacher and composer from Miltown Malbay, Co.Clare. She recently completed a master's in Traditional Irish Music Performance at the Irish World Academy of Music achieving first class honours. She performs regularly at several festivals and events in Ireland and abroad and can been seen entertaining at Irish Music sessions in Co.Clare. She is also a frequent guest on Irish radio and television programmes.
In high demand as both a performer and a teacher, she not only has experience playing for singers and dancers but has also performed at weddings as a musician and vocalist.

"In 20 years of teaching music to young ceili bands and groups in Ennis, some young musicians stand out in my memory. While many were talented musicians, or had an enthusiasm for the music, very few had both the talent and understanding of the music that Therese showed in abundance from an early age. Her appetite for new tunes, unusual settings and challenging arrangements was matched by her respect for the music and musicians gone before. Therese has carried this through into her adulthood, and is a fine example of all that is good in Clare music. This album is a fitting snapshot of a young woman nearing the top of her craft, both as a fiddler, and as a vocalist of huge sensitivity and empathy." Padraic O'Reilly, May 2017.
