ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This full length debut from The Retrievers showcases a band defying classification and creating a fresh rock and roll sound. The opening riffs of Molly Made feature guitar and bouzouki working in tandem, and as the album progresses different musical styles and combinations of instruments keep the sound progressive, but familiar.

Recorded in their hometown of Guelph Ontario, this album captures the heart of a hard working rock band, with solid recordings giving their melodies, lyrics, riffs, and jams a generous platform from which to be appreciated. While it is at its root a rock album, genres such as reggae, bluegrass, funk, and ‘indie rock’ flow throughout, and keep the listener engaged.

For those who appreciate bands that walk off the beaten trail such as ‘Cake’ and ‘Phish’, this is an album to give a listen to.
