ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This EP was the beginning of The Rose Valley Thorns, who were brought together by the artist and songwriter Joshua Bergmann. In the process of producing Joshua Bergmann's debut EP, the chemistry and dynamics necessary to created this band were found. The minimalist approach to these productions results in a raw and captivating musical expression and an accurate representation of the music being made by The Rose Valley Thorns.
Joshua Bergmann leads the way with his mandolin and lead vocals, backed by his brother Jared Bergmann on guitar, and Corey Highberg on upright bass. The two live tracks were recorded by Bernie Larsen at the Ojai Underground Exchange.
Drawing from real life experiences such as world travels and coping with debilitating disabilities, Joshua Bergmann writes in a manner that is raw, expressive, and real. The band together brings it to life and makes it a true expression of art.
