Album Notes
The Shandies are Shannon Stine (vocals/guitar) and Natalie Wlodarczyk (vocals/guitar). They started playing together in April 2016 and their blend of unique musical backgrounds makes for a distinctive and entertaining listening experience. Their music features a variety of guitar work by both Natalie and Shannon and tight vocal harmonies.

"Begin Again" is The Shandies debut album and includes ten original songs written by Natalie. The songs feature infectious melodies and catchy and emotional lyrics and provide a wide variety of styles. The feel of the songs range from upbeat folky pop tunes such as "Reason to Wait" and "Begin Again" to more intensely emotional ballads such as "Last Chance Highway" and "Intermission". There are also some upbeat folky rockers such as "Worst Critic" and "Greenlight".

These songs all feature layered rhythm and lead acoustic and electric guitar played by both Natalie and Shannon. Featured guest performers are Ivy Schulte (drums on tracks 2, 4, 6, and 9); Jim Rea (bass: tracks 1, 2, 4, 6, and 9; organ: tracks 4, 9); Molly Healey (violin and cello: track 7; violin: track 10); Jennifer Peyton (harmony vocals: tracks 1 and 4).

Shannon Stine is an award-winning Merle Travis style thumbpicking guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Shannon wrote her first song at the age of three, started playing piano and ukulele at the age of six, and guitar at the age of ten. Her self-titled solo album featuring original music and thumb style guitar was released in January 2015.

Natalie Wlodarczyk is a board-certified music therapist and music therapy professor at Drury University who has been playing guitar since age seven. Natalie was raised on the singer-songwriters of the 1970s and her musical upbringing has had a strong influence on her still today.
