Album Notes
This E.P. couples the two vinyl singles issued on Rollin Records, which were so hot, that the guys in the factory wore asbestos suits to press them! "Bop" is just one hell of a flowing rockabilly record, with an authenticity that deceives the ears. You know it was made in 2015, but it could be 1956. This was the flip to "Devil's Guitar" which is an astonishing piece of art. Co-written with Richard Hawley (who also plays rhythm guitar on the track), the vibe it kicks out is immense. You won't lose the beat on this one. That's for sure! "Get Behind Me Satan" is also an amazing track, due to it incorporating a banjo which just works like you wouldn't believe. There's no 'air fiddles' about the Sirocco Bros. It's to the jugular with no messing about, which brings me nicely to "Vortex". Fast running out of superlatives, this one is a fantastic bit of song writing and construction, with a sound so unique it's had a preservation order slapped on it! Enjoy.

Devil's Guitar / Bop
The Sirocco Bros continue to grow artistically with this latest Rollin Records 45 being perhaps their best to date. Devil’s Guitar with a new spin to the “selling your soul” theme is a savage stomper with stinging guitar and menacing vocals that help portray the dark lyrics. “I bought myself a guitar from an antique store, I’d never seen another one quite like it before. ,the strings were made of skin and the pegs were made of bone, and when I played that guitar, it had the strangest tone”. Written by Sheahan and Wakefield together with celebrity fan Richard Hawley, it’s a modern day masterpiece. The flip, Bop is a more restrained but hypnotic bopper with a touch of the Stutterin’ Cindy. As always with the Siroccos, the guitar break adds an extra touch of class. With a stunning pulp cover, this is a must have double a-sider that comes highly recommended.
