Album Notes
Nothing matches the power of rock and roll, especially when it’s attached to a higher purpose. With that in mind, we’ve created the band The Southern Fall (Bill Bennett, vocals; John Karr, lead guitar; William Wagner, rhythm guitar; Mike “Thumbs” Tetzlaff, bass; Jimmy Kirk, drums; and guest appearances by Tim Sheehan on keyboards). Our mission is simple: to do a little good in the world. Half the profits from each song we release will go to a designated charity; the rest will go toward keeping this thing rolling. Wagner wrote this first tune, a catchy rocker with a country tinge titled “Better Day.” The song is about riding out the dark times until that brighter, better day inevitably arrives, so it’s a perfect fit for the suicide prevention charity the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. If you like our mission—and hopefully our music, too—please spread the word after downloading “Better Day.” And visit our Facebook page, The Southern Fall, for updates on what we’re doing next and how much we’ve been able to donate to charity. We, as well as the various organizations to which we’re contributing, appreciate your support. Call it rock and roll for a cause.
