Album Notes
THE SWAMP SHAKERS band is united by enthusiastic and talented musicians who share their desire to play artistically high-quality music that they like, thus creating pleasure for themselves and listeners. The band features its own distinctive musical and dramatic stylistic image that is in between classical and modern rockabilly.

The band members are: Cruisin’ Mr. Splash (Kārlis Paukšte), the main lead singer of the band, who plays a drumkit standing up; Hurricane Annie (Anna Andersone), the lead / backing vocalist and upright bass player; Magic Marc (Mārcis Liepiņš), deeply devoted to guitar picking and true virtuoso guitar player, has some lead songs and provides strong back vocals. Band’s trademark is a great show, professionalism and fun for the audience.

Formed as a trio in Latvia in 2015, same year The Swamp Shakers already performed at three festivals in France - Rockin' Retro, Aurillac Festijump, Bethune Retro, in Holland - Terschelling Rock'n'Roll Festival, and since then is always of high demand. The band often get recognition as a “discovery of the festival” and it’s youngest member – now 22 years old guitar player Magic Marc has got the nickname “young Brian Setzer”.

In 2016, The Swamp Shakers performed with a great success in Holland (Franeker Rock’n’Roll, Hoorn Rock’n’Roll), UK (Starfighter Rock’n’Roll Club, Rockin’ Sundays at the Foresters), and Belgium (Cowboy Up). In 2017, the band performed again in France (Good Rockin’ Tonight), Holland (Breda Jazz Festival, Sniester Festival), and Switzerland (Tiki Bash), Estonia (Augustibluus festival), Norway (Blues in Hell and Nidaros Blues Festivals), Hungary (Pick-up Drive Romphany), UK (Crondall Rock’n’Roll), Sweden (Midsommar Festival, Uddeholm) and Lithuania (Taurage Jazz Festival, FIDI festival).

In 2018, the band had very tough schedule, with the shows in Sweden (Rock At Sea Festival, Uddeholm, Biografbaren), Finland (Rockabilly Rocks!), Norway (Orland Blues Festival, Havna Festival), France (Good Rockin Tonight Festival), Poland (Polish Boogie Festival, Blues in Swiecie), Switzerland (Honky Tonk Festival, Dukes club), Czech Republic (Rockabilly Rumble), Lithuania, Estonia, etc.!

In 2019 the concerts in Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Holland, Switzerland, Germany and the other countries were confirmed well in advance!

Pete Anderson & The Swamp Shakers was the rockabilly band created by the legendary Latvian King of Rock’n’Roll Pete Anderson (www.pitsandersons.lv), the very first true rock musician in the former USSR, and the winner of the Just Plain Folks Music Awards for the Best rockabilly album of the year 2009 (Nashville, USA). The band toured and performed with Pete until his very last concert in July 2015. The band members are Pete’s devoted scholars and continue to perform as a trio since 2015.

In 2014 the band with Pete Anderson released the debut album "Enjoy The Ride!" on Rhythm Bomb Records (RBR 5767), with 14 original compositions and raving reviews from all over the international rockin' community and pro reviewers. In 2019, The Swamp Shakers debut album as a trio will be released and presented on tours!
