Album Notes
Blues with soul! "Live at Gibson Music Hall" is a selection of songs recorded at a Swingin' Johnsons show on September 7, 2018 at Gibson Music Hall in Appleton, WI. The crowd was hungry for music, ready to dance, and the Swingin' J's delivered- big time!

Guitarist Jeff Johnston formed The Swingin' Johnsons in the late-1990's, performing at clubs and festivals in Northeast WI. The Swingin' Johnsons play a variety of genres; from gritty Blues, to R&B covers, upbeat Swing, and more! Versatile vocalist Erin Krebs fronts the band with power and soul, and the chemistry between Erin & Jeff is undeniable! Jeff and Erin surround themselves with impeccable musicians, and this live show was no different. Award-winning saxophonist Stephen Cooper joins the band on tenor and back-up vocals, and his solos are not to be missed. Bassist Drew Hicks and drummer Mike Malone join forces to lay down the groove, and special guest Bill "Mooker" Teas is also featured on harmonica.

The album is a showcase of what the Swingin' Johnsons are all about-- having fun playing great music with lots of soul! You'll hear soulful original music as well as covers of songs by Etta James, B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, and more!
