ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Darcy Malone accepts an invitation to see Echo Wreck, an all instrumental band fronted by Chris Boye. Darcy and Chris click musically, begin writing songs and soon The Tangle is born mixing Chris' skate-punk influences with Darcy's love of Motown and Dusty Springfield . Throw in some J Mascis and a splash of Cocteau Twins. They consume many generations of music, practice alot, play some shows in New Orleans, evacuate to Texas for Katrina and re-form in Post K New Orleans. NOW WE'RE AWAKE is a culmination of a few years of rehearsals and shows featuring Darcy's fine vocals and Chris' unique guitar stranglin'.
produced by Mark Bingham because he liked the band alot and wanted people outside New Orleans to hear them.
