Bloody Ballads

by The Terror Twins

An ethereal, mystical mix of the voice of Lisa Hammer (Radiana, Mors Syphilitica, Requiem in White) and the melancholy piano compositions of James Merendino (SLC Punk, Neutral Milk Hotel). Eerie and soulful, the perfect accompaniment to a rainy evening.

Album Notes
James Merendino and Lisa Hammer are filmmaker-musicians and siblings. They created the dark comedy film "The Invisible Life of Thomas Lynch" about filmmakers following a hit-man on his job. Merendino is best known for his film "SLC Punk", and Hammer is best known as the voice of Triana Orpheus on "The Venture Brothers". The Terror Twins are a band as well as a troupe of paranormal investigators/filmmakers who explore the deepest crevices of fear and melancholy. The Terror Twins music ranges from ethereal piano ballads to thunderous goth-metal sound-scapes. Bloody Ballads is a collection of their soulful ballads for voice and piano.

Haunting, Operatic, Surreal
Siblings James and Lisa create a dreamlike listening experience with these seven songs. The classical music is arranged to invoke an array of emotions, and Lisa's vocals are pristine, as always. Fans of Lisa's prior vocal work with Requiem in White and Mors Syphlitica will be pleased. There is a sensation of catharsis after listening; a great album to purge sorrow and melancholy, replaced with ease and tranquility. Highly recommended!
