ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
William Call's Symphony No. 2: Post Peccatum Mundus
For orchestra and chorus, instrumentation: 2222, 22, timpani, strings and chorus (1983).
Study and conductor scores and parts are available at www.williamcall.net

The world was a much different place once it was “graced” by sin. Adam fell that man might be/Men are that they might have joy!

The fruit of knowledge of good and evil is also the fruit of consonance and dissonance. Before listening to this music we must first partake of this fruit. Then we are prepared to differentiate between what is harmonious and what isn’t!

Adam Fell that Man Might Be
All things are done in the wisdom
of him who knoweth all things.
Adam fell that man might be;
Men are that they might have joy.
Joseph Smith (adapted)
