ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The debut single from The White Horse Guitar Club, Drivin' My Life Away, is a cover of a song penned by Irish American artist Eddie Rabbitt and it delivers plus more on the foot to the floor, alt country crunch of the original. Engineered and mixed in Monique Studios with Christian Best at the helm (Mick Flannery), the single was mastered by Gavin Lurrsen at the world renowned, multi Grammy award-winning Lurrsen Mastering studio (Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Sturgill Simpson).

Storytelling. Gathering. Celebrating.

These are the central pillars of The White Horse Guitar Club, an 11 piece band born in the music venue Upstairs at The White Horse.

Stories in songs that are sepia toned and earthy hued. Stories that are familiar because they have always been told, passed on at firesides and funerals, shared amongst friend and stranger alike, telling tales of love, loss and life. Stories that hang off melodies and music that are carried on the pulse, the life beat of rhythm.

The gathering together of these eleven men began without method beyond the urge to sing and play. Soon momentum gathered too and this early assembly was shot out into the public domain, flickering first in pub corners and snugs, before the light shone brightly in auditoriums and theatres. Everyone together locked in song and revelry.

When these stories and gatherings collide, in a today of disconnection and isolation, it's a cause for great celebration. The White Horse Guitar Club feed on that energy and positivity.

The debut single from the group, Drivin' My Life Away, is a cover of a song penned by Irish American artist Eddie Rabbitt and it delivers plus more on the foot to the floor, alt country crunch of the original.
