"Pittsburgh People N@" achieves the vision we set down a long time ago:
to write and record songs that are relatable to lots of folks and fun to listen to.
Along the way The Woo Hoo Band musicians changed as we evolved and our song writing took off in different directions.
And other things came and went: A recording contract with a small label, along with several more offers from other labels were considered, but didn't quite fit. We played lots of local venues and built our audience to know and love us and our music. So here we are, putting out our first full-length CD as an Indie Artist – doing things our way.
First we send thanks to God to be able to do any of this and we send many thanks to our Families, Friends and Fans for their love and their loyal support. None of this could have happened without YOU.
Thank YOU.....&.....WOO HOO !!!
The Woo Hoo Band
"The Woo Hoo Band is the blending of five very talented musicians from different
musical backgrounds, coming together from different parts of the Pittsburgh
region with the same goal - to play quality music with other professional
musicians in order to create a fun, dancing atmosphere for an appreciative
audience.
With over 200 years of combined experience playing music from Canada to
Florida and San Diego to the East Coast, these guys bring a world of talent and
a ton of skill with them.
Blending 4 part vocal harmonies, 2 guitars, solid bass playing, piano, organ and
synth, plus powerful drumming, along with the showmanship of the soulful lead
singer - this band has the talent and charisma to please most audiences."
When I first listened to The Woo Hoo Band’s single, "Pittsburgh People", this is what I wrote:
“Pittsburgh People is a fun song about Pittsburgh, written by
Pittsburghers and played by a Pittsburgh band, recorded in a
dynamic Pittsburgh studio and engineered by a Pittsburgher then
pressed and packaged at a Pittsburgh company by more
Pittsburghers.....truly a hometown project of which to be positively proud."
Although some of the musicians have changed, the spirit remains the same and better; inspired by airplay as far away as France and Australia, to Nashville and New York closer to home.
Here is their first Indie Album –"Pittsburgh People N@" - homegrown in Pittsburgh – nine sensational songs inspired by real life triumphs, challenges, normalcy and oddities and presented in eclectic Woo Hoo style.
