ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Y Men are playing songs, written and performed by Lars Alsing, formerly front man in 8000C. For years he has worked as session musician and composer on records, film and TV. In 2016 Lars started working with producer and musician Steen Dongo, formerly front man in ROX. It triggered an avalanche of new songs from Lars, which were recorded every Wednesday evening and the project quickly found its own unique form. They decided to form The Y Men and soon Eddi Jarl (drums), Georg Olesen (bass) and Anders Lampe (guitar) joined in, - all well-known and respected musicians on the Danish music scene.
On one hand the songs carry the reminders of classic American folk-rock, with lyrics that tell good, important stories and on the other still have a new, fresh sounding take on the acoustic-electric Americana roots-rock style.
