ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Message in the Song
Lewis Hall - (12 string Taylor guitar) Inspired by where I met my wife many years before we became a couple. Evanston - (Kevin Kopp OM style 6 string) Represents my family’s love of Wyoming. 80 Years - (Banjo found in the Park County, Montana dump) Wrote this tune for my mom’s 80th birthday not knowing she loved banjo music. Clouds - (Martin D-28) Memories of what if, but no regrets of being in or breaking off relationships. Devil’s Slide + - (Dobro)
my crossroads song... Things Remain the Same* - (Martin HD-28) a song about relationships written years ago with a friend. Blues Lullaby++ - (Dobro) A slow, harmonic lullaby. Salt Creek Suite - (Martin D-28) A song I have been working on for years and has been influenced by many friends and much music, including the song Malaguena. Tribute #5 - (Martin D-28) A tribute to my old Martin for 40 plus years of collaboration with its caretaker.
The Sun Sets in the West++ - (Martin D-28) Written in response to the idea that America needs to keep humans out of the USA at our southerns borders, people whose ancestors have traversed these borders for hundreds of years or more. When I stand at the edge of the Pacific Ocean looking at a beautiful sunset to the west, I imagine Asia “The East” and think “Aren’t we all the same, North, South, East, West”? Lewis Hall Reprise++ - (Martin D-28) coming full circle
