Album Notes
World Music Composer Thomas Bergersen's follow up album to his extremely successful debut album "Illusions", released in 2011. "Sun" took him almost 4 years to complete and features his best, most heartfelt, virtuosic and powerful music to date. It features a giant orchestra (over 200 musicians contributed), choir, bulgarian choir, famous world class instrumentalists and a wide range of styles, emotions and colors. Recorded around the world, with contributing artists from all over the world including Bulgaria, Romania, Norway, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Germany and Italy.
Thomas Bergersen is known for his US-based musical powerhouse "Two Steps From Hell" which he co-owns with Nick Phoenix. His music has been featured in the biggest blockbusters, movie trailers, sports events, tv shows and concert halls in the world, and he has sold over 1 million albums, and had over 1 billion views on YouTube.
"Sun" is without doubt Thomas Bergersen's finest work to date, and the natural sequel to "Illusions".

Epically boring
Epic it is, but not more than that. I hear endlessly repeated 4 chord sequences with string ostinatos and synth patterns, little melody, voices wailing in half steps around the top notes. Buy this album only if you like simple, big, epic sounding stuff.

Another timeless masterpiece
Thomas' Illusions has been my favorite album ever, when it was finally released in 2011. Thomas is a genius that can convey emotions through his music like no other composer. I'll admit I had my doubts that he could make another album so powerful, so inspiring, but they have been wiped away as I listened to this new succession of masterpieces. He did it again.
Sun is a bit different in style, there are less vocals and the tone is lighter and more "hopeful", which is appropriate given the title of the album. But don't expect a quiet album, almost every track has a powerful climax and there is no shortage of epicness.
It's hard to say which tracks are my absolute favorites but I'll at least mention Colors of Love, Final Frontier and Fearless. These tracks represent musical perfection to me, you simply can't develop, orchestrate and build around one or multiple melodies any better than that.

TL ; DR : If you are a fan of TSFH/Thomas, or even if you never heard of them, Sun is an immediate must buy.

One of the greatest
It seems the man can't make bad music! This album shows once again that he is the king of epic music, or better yet the king of cinematic music. He can make music in the more classical Williams style to Zimmer to his own Bergersen-style, he masters them all. That should be new term for epic music be, Bergersen-style or something like that. Highly recommended, just as any music from this man.

Outstanding Album
I've decided to buy this album the moment I've heard the preview for Sun, Thomas Bergersen is now one of my favorite composers, 4 years of work truly shows off.

Close your eyes, switch the hifi on and fly.
