Album Notes
"Table For One" is the much-anticipated follow-up to Thomas Johnston's successful debut CD, "Highway Signs and Highway Lines", which was named one of the Ten Best of 2013 by the Irish Voice newspaper in New York City. In "Table For One", the award-winning singer-songwriter from Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, USA, combines folk, Irish, and Americana into his original songs. This diverse mix of songs ranges from personal reflections to relationships to tales of Irish history. Thomas Johnston's music has been compared to Christy Moore, David Gray, and Glen Hansard. His music has appealed to a wide array of listeners, through both his records and his live shows. "Table For One" blends the songwriting, singing, and guitar and bodhran playing of Thomas Johnston with the wonderful talents of guest artists Brian Ostering, Alicia Van Sant, and Mike Farragher. The album was co-prodiced by Thomas Johnston and his son, Stephen, who is the managing partner of Tabhair Records & Music Publishing LLC.
