ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri and now living in Phoenix, Arizona, Thom Farrar is no stranger to the music business. He has been writing, arranging, producing and performing music for many years, and has performed in numerous bands throughout the 80’s and 90’s.

In late 2005 he got an idea to begin recording some of his solo material for a future album release. He had been in the studio with bands in the past, but going solo was a whole new experience for him. The decision to record a solo album was not taken lightly, and he spent many hours recording and re-recording all of the instruments and vocals. “Transitions” is the end result of that journey.

Thom’s musical style has always been more laid back, easy going and melodic; a somewhat radical departure from the music he covered in the past. He found a creative outlet in recording his solo material and has plans to continue with another release in the not-so distant future.
