Album Notes

The Norwegian born Thore Henki Holm Hansen made an angry attack on US authorities when he held a release concert in Oslo on his new CD on August 9 where listeners heard a country artist with heartfelt and poignant lyrics. «Hell (of a lot of fun) On Two Wheels» not only serves you with harsh critisism of the prosecutoral corruption exposed in his case but also great music from a broad range of Country, Rock, Blues, and Texas Swing. Just prior to his initial appearance after Thore was extradited from Belgium in 1997 on a conviction In Absentia from 1981 for the alleged possession of less than 2 ounces cocaine he was detoured into a side room where he was offered to ”be home by Christmas“ If he’d only agree to testify against Crazy Joe Spaziano who’d won a new trial after 21 years on Florida’s Death Row. This came about after the principal witness against Joe finally admitted he had been brought to the scene of the crime by the investigators back then and hypnotised twice in order to fabricate and fine polish his testimony at Joe’s original trial. Imagine the psychological terror Joe must have suffered of having been shaved and made ready for execution 5 times in the course of those years. That Thore was in a totally different part of the country at the time of these events was “no problem”. They would instruct him in his testimony. When Thore refused to commit perjury in order to put an obviously innocent man in the electric chair, the court imposed the maximum sentence permitted under the ”Old Law” of 15 years due to his “failure to cooperate”. Listen closely to the lyrics on Hell on Two Wheels.

CIA operative
Thor Hansen has been at odds with the law ever since the mid 60’s due to his past membership with the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. But it was the media exposure of a covert CIA training camp for Haitian mercenaries in Lantana, Florida, in 1981 where Thore’s name appeared prominently in the headlines since he had negotiated the lease on the property for them, rather than let them make use of his island Little Hog Key in the Bahamas as they had initially requested which lies at the root of this scandal. Thore finally won his $15,000,000 civil suit against the CIA in 2002 which charged them with having used him as a lightning rod to distract the media by orchestrating both his arrest and his conviction In Absentia in 1981 for the alleged possession of a mere 37 grams cocaine, followed by a 23 year media smear campaign to crush his credibility in his native Norway through an admitted CIA Spin Doctor working under cover at the New York Times.

The Scandal Exposed!
Documented proof displayed in his new biography.
At his initial appearance on August 14, 1997, after having been extradited from Belgium, Thore asked the court to initiate prosecution of an indictment for Failure to Appear in order to prove his Involuntary Absence and that the conviction in absentia from 1981 and the grounds for his extradition was in fact invalid, which was granted. But the prosecuting attorney was able to persuade the court that it did not have jurisdiction to proceed by presenting the judge with a telefax from Washington later the same day which purported that Belgium had placed a bar to prosecution since the US allegedly had “forgotten” to include the bond jumping charge as part of the foundation for extradition and that Thore could only be held accountable for the offences for which he was actually extradited under the Specialty Clause of their treaty with Belgium. And the prosecutor repeated this lie each time Thore filed a new motion to reopen the matter during the course of his 7 years of incarceration, which was finally exposed by his Norwegian attorney after his release in 2004 with an inquiry to both the Belgian justice and foreign relation departments as to their participation to prevent prosecution of the bond jumping charges, which they vehemently denied, pointing out that the bond jumping charge had been part of the grounds for extradition, and were frankly confused by the inquiry since the final paragraph of the Specialty Clause states clearly that ANY charge may be prosecuted AS LONG THE ACCUSED CONSENTS!

Seven years of wrongful confinement!
And it is this cover-up and prosecutorial documentary fraud to deprive the court of jurisdiction Thore now intends to expose both with the title song and video of his new CD “Hell (of a lot of fun) On Two Wheels” along with a renewed motion to reopen the bond jumping charge in order to finally prove involuntary absence and that the judgement for which he served 7 years in prison was in fact invalid. Under the law, should Thore successfully prove involuntary absence he would be entitled to compensation for each day of wrongful confinement, somewhere between $350 to $1,000 per day, although this battle to finally prove his innocence is more a matter of principal than a matter of money. His 90 year old mother and entire family living in the US will finally be able to look people in the eyes whenever Thore’s name is mentioned, which is most important for his son and two daughters living in the US who have suffered under the burden of these lies about their father nearly since the day they were born.

Provocative video
–The video is a deliberate attack against the corrupt US system of justice exposed both by the chain of events described above plus the incredible fact of Crazy Joe’s continued confinement in spite of his death sentence being vacated and having been completely exonerated. Just read the tons of headlines in the Miami Herald over Crazy Joe’s ordeal over the years and everyone will agree that this is a perfect example of the authorities’ compulsion to Win At All Costs, innocence be damned! While at the same time exposing the Florida Supreme Court as being nothing more than a lynch mob steered by emotions rather than the highest body of law in the State – is Thore’s commentary.

Well-known popular musicians
This CD is produced and arranged by Thore’s old associate, Claes Neeb, well-known as Norway’s answer to Chet Atkins who he also toured with regularly. Claes also scored the music to the title song which Thore wrote. Claes also produced both of Thore’s previous records “Wanted Man” (1982) and “Alien Creature” (1984). Among the other musicians is the piano blues legend Reidar Larsen, the soulful and powerful saxophones by Erik Bentsen, and not the least, the US born fiddle player Bill Booth.
