Thunderbird formed in 2003 in Vancouver BC. Canada. The original line-up was Marc LaFrance on vocals, Rod 'Doc' Coogan on guitars, Tim Rath on bass and Kelly Stodola on drums. In 2006 the band's first album 'What's The Word' was released, and single 'No Prisoners' charted on independent music sites.

In 2015 the members reunited for a second album. Tim Rath had relocated to Costa Rica but contributed long distance, with Rob Becker joining on bass. in 2016 the album 'Heavyweight' album was released to positive reviews.

Late in 2016 recording began for the third album at Vancouver's Armoury Studios with Mike Fraser engineering. Sessions continued during 2017 using several studios and engineers. Rod Coogan was unable to take part due to other commitments, and Brice Tabish joined on guitar.

The completed album has been mixed by Mike Fraser, and is now available!

Great New Classy Classic Rock
Some great new classic bluesy Canadian hard Rock from this cool new band featuring some great veteran players .
Marc LaFrance's blues soaked powerful vocals. and Brice Tabish's tasty rippin' but melodic axe work set the stage for a great set of melodic hard riock tunes with a real classic 70''s vibe and the stellar and punchy mix courtesy of Mike Fraser who's done multiple high level projects just adds to it's appeal.. So if you like arena rock that's as catchy as it is rockin' full of tunes that will stick in your head and aren't like the assembly line melodic rock that's flooding the market nowadays with programed drums and mediocre thin productions you might want to check this album out. and be pleasantly surprised.
