Album Notes
Thunderhead was a southern rock band in the seventies based in New Orleans,on the brink of a national tour to support the ABC Album when the record company decided to drop the band and promote disco artists instead. The band broke up in 1976. The original members Mike Dagger and Bobby T Torello reformed the group in 2010 and recorded some of the tunes that never got to the studio . After some production problems and logistical issues, the band played only a few local venues and returned to New Orleans to play at the Rock n Bowl , one of NOLA's premier music venues. The original tunes that were written in the 70's "L.A. Shuffle " and " Road Dogs" were arranged and written by the original members Ronnie Dobbs, O.T. Ware, Mike Dagger, Pat Rush and Bobby T Torello. Breaux Bridge Rag written by David Craig was re done for this CD ,All the other tunes on this disc are new material with the exeption of the "LIve" cuts recorded JUly 31, 2010 at The Rock n Bowl.
