ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Songwriter Nathan Priest and lyricist/vocalist Brandon Steever began working together early June 2018. What was originally supposed to just be some demo work quickly became a dedicated passion project. Hungry and eager they quickly wrote and promoted several songs before their debut EP release, "Wayfinder".

Entirely self-produced and self-funded, they strive to create a unique sound fusing modern metal with various style influences that was described by the YouTube promoter channel "Beheading The Traitor" as "atmospheric metalcore". Beheading the traitor featured them for their song/lyric videos "Madness" and "Sickness". They also have their own Facebook and YouTube channel they personally manage, to communicate with supporters of their music.

Their main goal is stated as just creating unique and interesting music that they themselves would enjoy listening to and can be proud of. Lyrically exploring various topics such as family issues, struggles with faith, general mental illnesses/self-depreciation, and a desire to rise above these problems, Tides Alike does not filter their musical/lyrical style to achieve any amount of popularity, but instead focuses on creating music they can be proud of, that sends a message they personally believe in, which they hope listeners can enjoy and appreciate.
