Album Notes
Questionable Fidelity is the result of a year or so of imprisonment in a crappy little apartment in a building otherwise inhabited primarily by drug dealers and the members of local mariachi bands. As is always the case, this state of affairs was brought about by a woman. One day, I began to plot my escape. I took stock of the resources available to me: a black guitar; a computer; and thousands of feet of magnetic tape. I began tunneling to freedom, shifting massive mounds of earth with my guitar pick. When I emerged, blinking in the blinding sunlight, I brought Questionable Fidelity — twelve tracks documenting the pain of love and life in a pleasant pop folk style — into the world with me.
