Album Notes
Tim Morgon was a very popular folk singer/entertainer in the Newport Beach area in the 1960s. He released four albums, recorded live at the "Prison of Socrates" in Balboa, Ca. This is the first album in a series of four that he recorded. Tim's career was stifled by poor management but he continued to sing and entertain until 1981.

Although he hasn't performed for over 20 years, his name is still remembered by the people who grew up in So. Calif. in the 60s and 70s, and most of his fans don't even have a record player to play the old albums. And besides that, his albums are over 30 years old, and not in the best of condition. Now Tim Morgon's albums are available on CD. Old fans can go back in time and relive the precious memories of the beach towns, coffee houses, and hearing Tim sing. As one fan said, "I put on Tim's CD, poured a glass of wine, closed my eyes, and I was back at the 'Prison' and he was singing to me". Contact Tim at tmorgon@aol.com, he would love to hear from you.

wonderful to re-visit songs performed at the Prison of Socrates again.
Now that I have this CD, I can re-visit Tim's performances at the Prison whenever I want to. I actually attended his performances there during the middle l960's and enjoyed every show.

Love having this CD
I loved Tim Morgon back in the 60's and now I get to listen to him on 21st century technology! I look forward to purchasing more of his CD's through CD Baby, which is a very, very nice company.

Another great version of Tim Morgan, full of memories of my youth..
This CD was my 2nd favorite of Tim's. I haven't heard the songs for ages, since I've not had the 'ol fashioned record player for over 20 yrs. I don't know what made me think of Tim Morgan after 30+ years, but a Google search turned up CD Baby's site, and I had to order two of the CDs for one of my brother's birthday. He knew of Tim from his playing venues, while I knew his songs from the record player. My own copies will come next! Thank you CD Baby for bring Tim to us again!

Live at the Prison
This was one of my favorite albums while a teen in Seal Beach and HB, (the real Surf City!) Long live Tim and may the cat stay put!

It took me back in time.
I was a kid in that time and place, beach area coffee houses, and Tim Morgons music was our favorite. We were fans of his and Spences, and still are.

Best entertainment, great singing at the Ice House in Pasadena. Wonderful to have a CD of Tim's singing from Balboa. Same pleasure to hear as 50 years ago. [JMHS '64]

Good music, well performed is timeless
