Album Notes
Before STEEL WOOL, Tim Mueller recorded an album of hard rocking tunes mixed with love songs and silliness. A group of terrific musicians, including Tim's high school buddy and Ringo Starr fan Geoff Hurley on drums, lead guitar players Suburban Slim, Steve Ariola, Johnny Wild, Tim himself and Eric Thurman, worked with him in 1997 to put all this together. All the songs are written by Tim, with the lyrics to "I Wasn't Lookin" from Mariah Wolf.

Geoff passed away in 2013. Probably rockin' on them drums somewhere... Listen....

The songs are all stories from Tim's life: finding love when it wasn't expected, moving on in joyous yet painful ways, reaffirming lovemaking as one of the keys to a successful relationship, feeling like you've lost your real self, falling in love far away, belonging to a dangerous group of "wolves", and, well, just being tired of so many "Stupid People".

My favorite tracks are "Colorado", with great guitar and harmonies, and "In the Middle of the Night", which can be kinda scary... "I wasn't Lookin" and "Don't Get Love on Sale" are now part of STEEL WOOL's stage show. All of us here at GreyWolf Projects hope you enjoy them all.
