From MainlyPiano
“Father of the Bride” is a new single from Tim Neumark. This lovely piece appeared as a piano solo on Neumark’s 2013 "Opus 4," but this new arrangement is for string quartet. (Sheet music is also available in both formats.) Neumark mentioned to me that he always envisioned the piece as a string quartet, even as he was composing it for solo piano. I love this quote from him: “I had always hoped I could finish this piece at some point before my daughter -- now daughters -- were old enough to get married. I didn't realize I'd get a chance to compose it as soon as I did!” The music on this single was performed by Two Rivers Chamber Music, which is made up of Matthew Polonchak on violin 1, Tommy Atkinson on violin 2, Michael Polonchak on viola, and Lauren Weaver on cello. This is a really beautiful piece, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it become a wedding classic. If you like this one, Neumark has also arranged his “Closing Credits” for string quartet and released it as a single. Both are available from CD Baby.
