ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see."
– C.S. Lewis

Fields Far Away is a story where simplicity and child’s play clothe the profound and miraculous workings of the universal. This theatrical performance draws a connection between the mystical and the seemingly ordinary. From a cosmic big bang of creation to a lush meadow where children dream of building a treehouse that reaches the sky; Fields Far Away takes us on a journey to inspirations that seem too lofty for such little hands, yet when only given time to grow, transform into greater connection and purpose.

This story suggests that we have a choice in this life; to see design and wonder, or to simply deny any significance and take what comes as pure chance. Fields Far Away is a story of positive influence, of human polarities, and the rendering of universal potential.

Album Reviews:
"...If you thrive on musical diversity, I am sure you're going to love this collection, which brings together a complete rainbow of musical tastes, moods, and atmospheres. Reminiscent of new age moods of Yanni or Kitaro, Fields Far Away brushes in highlights with classic progressive rock styles likened to that of Rush,Yes, or Genesis...
... Although this release consists of featured cuts from Act One of the musical stage production, it has no problem standing as a complete music CD in its own right. Just as you think things couldn't be better, a wonderful story line becomes an added bonus!Truly an original and masterful new production colored in
sound..."

"I found your CD, Fields Far Away, complex and deep. It has a mystical quality. The music is very powerful. The words are soft and inviting. Music occupies a very special place in my life. Musicals are among my favorite forms of entertainment and enlightenment. I like your CD very much."

"...After hearing the album, I must say your band is quite able to present the"Great Mystery in our lives" and do it in a real, emotional way with great depth. Yet, you can still put what the German's call "Fuer im Arsch(fire in the ass)" with some punchy segments. and it is all well in context, with a very good flow. The cordal progressions evoke that "aha" feeling in the environment you portray, which is missing from most music in the last 20 years..."

"The universe of possibilities can be accessed and expressed by more than words and number crunching. It is also found and created through gestalts, music, and poetry. I recommend the following multimedia site (Fields Far Away) as an excellent expression of this way of becoming our best selves"

"I stumbled upon your web page. I started to read the lyrics in Fields Far Away. I was so moved by the words themselves, I couldn't wait to order the CD and hear the music that moved the creative thoughts behind the words. Upon receiving a copy, I was so pleased(Thank you). I enjoy the many moods of the music and identify with the story. Great Job! I love the CD and also what Angstrom is doing with the children interested in music."

"Every so often, out from the pack breaks a musical effort that pushes past the ordinary, and soars the listener up into the heights. This kind of inspiration shows itself a rarity today. Obtain this piece of audio magic and re-inspire yourself. Magic is truly found in, "Fields Far Away"."

"It was a real buzz to get your CD. I'm IMPRESSED! I have listened to it 8 times now! I must admit the very 1st time I listened I found one or two tracks slightly dis-jointed (only very slightly mind), then I realized it was just part of the overall impact. I love the contrasting styles through out the piece. It really helps to focus on the individual MSG of each track. The whole concept is really different from anything I have heard before (thus fresh). Funny thing is by the 3rd time, I could see it being done as the stage show.
I played it to a critical friend who's view's I respect. She was so impressed from the very first time played. It is a real emotional roller coaster and thus exciting, realistic and inspirational. I have total respect for you and your friends work. WELL DONE."
