ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album represents the finest tracks recorded before Tim’s first official CD album release in 2004 - “Bald On The Inside” which entered the top 200 sellers list in Borders Music & Book stores UK, on several times.

This hand-picked collection of 25 tracks was recorded between 1993 and 1999 covering many styles and genres, with a blend of electronic and guitar inspired pieces. This forms a remarkable insight into Tim’s initial influences and forays at composing, recording and mixing or “mashing” of genres.

Most of these pieces were recorded with a Yamaha RY20 drum machine although I was lent an Alesis SR16 drum machine so some of it may have been done with that? I can’t remember! Ha-ha :-)

The multi-tracking was achieved by bouncing between two (16-20bit, 48Khz sample) DAT players through a first generation 1604 Mackie desk. The guitar was recorded using a classic Zoom 9050 guitar effects processor.

They were digitally enhanced and mastered by the remarkable engineer, Ben Tyreman at Electric Hotel Studios.

Big thanks to him for all the help in putting this project together. If it wasn’t for getting drunk together and hitting The Stop In’s epic Pizza late one night, I would have never played him these old masters; as he initially encouraged me to release them.
