Album Notes
During the summer I was extremely privileged to be approached by a US publisher; to write a pitch for the new Miller Lite, global TV Commercial. I only had five days to write, arrange, record, produce, mix and master a 2-3 minute instrumental piece that had to have a contemporary uplifting feel.

They were waving around a reputed $125,000 (£80,000) exclusivity contract for the winning composition. I have to admit, that I didn’t sleep much over the ensuing few days; now determined to win the contract.

When my composition ‘Neon Energy’ made it in to the final few; I already knew that I’d made a fantastic piece, judging from my friends and colleagues reactions; at the time my excitement grew, but there was still a niggling feeling of doubt saying I shouldn’t let go of it.

I had such a gut feeling about this piece and as the company started to be flakier; I pulled it from the running believing I was worth more!

When six weeks later, I heard the rubbish they picked to put on TV, I was convinced I’d been better off out of it!

Sometimes you have to stand back and realise that these things happen for a reason and not wanting to lose the benefit of what I had created. A few months later, I took the tune back in to the studio and re-made it into a song called ‘Bring On The Night’; which features my own singing! I tried playing it to people and stood amazed as they all exclaimed “That’s not you?” or “Who did you get to sing it?”

The word of mouth buzz that has begun to surround this single has made me very excited for this new career direction.

I wrote the lyrics in a night club after a few drinks just doing my best to describe weekend/holiday escapism; drawing on my experiences of playing in Ibiza.

Both versions of this tune will be released as a single on the Acer Records label with the working project title to be ‘Bring On The Night’.

Both tunes were mastered at the world renowned Abbey Road Studios by Geoff Pesche who’s recent work also includes Sam Smith’s – ‘Writings On The Wall’.

Background Summary

Tim has received fantastic national reviews of his previous instrumental guitar album and single releases; with the UK and US guitar press likening his style to: Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck and Brian May, but, with a modern Balearic twist; now known as ‘Guitar Mashing’.

Tim has also previously written guitar instrumentals for Judge Jules, played for Radio 1 in Ibiza and played live alongside the Body Rockers, Freemasons and Herd & Fitz.
